Discounts, Concert Lineup, and More at the Colorado State Fair | Arts & Entertainment

The Colorado State Fair is back in Pueblo for the 2024 season, bringing with it the familiar sights, sounds, and smells of a classic state fair experience. From the enticing aroma of funnel cakes and cotton candy to the thrilling carnival rides and live concerts, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s fair.

The fair kicks off on Friday and runs for nearly two weeks, ending on September 2. One of the first things fairgoers will want to know is the pricing for admission and carnival wristbands. Gate admission prices are $15 for adults, $7 for kids ages 5-12, and free for children 4 and under. Carnival wristbands are available for $40 for unlimited rides or $200 for a Megapass, which includes gate admission. There is a $2 fee for wristbands and cards purchased on-site.

For those driving to the fairgrounds, public parking is available in the lot south of the fairgrounds between Mesa and Northern Avenue. Parking costs $5 Monday through Thursday and $10 Friday through Sunday. Additionally, a shuttle service will run every 15 to 30 minutes from Pueblo’s Main Street Parking Garage to the State Fair Gate on Prairie Avenue. The shuttle is free, as is parking in the garage, and operates from 3-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Labor Day.

Fairgoers can take advantage of various deals and discounts throughout the fair’s run. From free admission for seniors over 60 to discounted admission for military and first responders, there are plenty of opportunities to save on entrance fees. Additionally, there are special days where kids 12 and under get in free, or where donations of canned food items can earn free admission.

One of the highlights of the Colorado State Fair is the lineup of concerts and events. This year, attendees can look forward to performances by artists such as Trace Adkins, Ludacris, and the Goo Goo Dolls. There are also PRCA Rodeo events scheduled, featuring popular acts like Shane Smith & The Saints, Scotty McCreery, and Lonestar. With a diverse range of musical genres and entertainment options, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the fair.

In addition to the paid attractions, there are also free activities and exhibits to explore at the fair. New this year is the Extreme Pogo Stunt Show, adding an extra element of excitement to the lineup. Other free attractions include the All American High Dive Show, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, and the Xpogo Stunt Team. There are also educational displays, agricultural exhibits, and interactive experiences for visitors to enjoy throughout the fairgrounds.
