Incorpora: Networking of Entities and Technicians
The Incorpora programme, initiated by the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation in 2006, aims to support individuals facing barriers to entering the labor market. These barriers may include disabilities, gender, educational level, or socio-economic factors like living in unfavorable environments. The programme works in collaboration with social entities to provide support to various marginalized groups, such as people with disabilities, young individuals at risk of exclusion, and those facing mental health challenges, among others. The ultimate goal is to enhance their employability and facilitate their socio-occupational integration for improved social inclusion.
One of the key components of the Incorpora programme is the networking of entities and technicians. This collaborative effort between social entities and technicians is crucial in efficiently matching job opportunities presented by companies with suitable candidates. The programme’s technicians design personalized integration pathways that recognize the potential of participants and encourage their active involvement to achieve successful integration into the labor market. By empowering individuals to take charge of their progress and change, the programme builds their confidence, enhances their job-seeking skills, and increases their autonomy, all essential factors for successful integration.
Training to Improve Employability
In addition to networking, the Incorpora programme also focuses on providing training opportunities to enhance the employability skills of participants. These training actions, often conducted in collaboration with companies, aim to improve technical skills as well as essential transversal skills demanded by employers. Skills such as flexibility, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and digital literacy are emphasized to ensure participants are well-prepared for the workplace. The training courses are designed based on market demand and sector-specific needs, resulting in high insertion rates for participants upon completion of the practical phase.
In the first half of the year, 145 training courses were completed, benefiting 2,375 individuals, with 1,484 participants successfully finding employment, representing a 62.5% insertion rate.
Incorpora Technicians: The Link Between Companies and Job Seekers
The Incorpora programme relies on dedicated professionals known as technicians who play a crucial role in connecting companies with individuals seeking employment. These technicians engage in various tasks, including prospecting companies, designing and guiding individuals through their integration pathways, providing post-hiring support, advising companies on job-person fit, and raising awareness to attract new collaborators to the programme.
With 1,205 technicians working tirelessly to secure job opportunities for those in need, the programme ensures that individuals have the necessary support to transition into the workforce successfully. For many participants, a job signifies a fresh start, an escape from exclusion, and an opportunity to enhance their autonomy.
Self-Employment as a Way of Accessing Professional Activity
For individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit within the vulnerable employment group, the Incorpora programme offers Self-Employment Points across Spain. These specialized points provide personalized support to develop business plans, analyze viability, and establish new ventures for individuals looking to start their own businesses.
In the first half of 2024, the Self-Employment line of the Incorpora programme facilitated the creation of 877 new businesses led by individuals at risk of social exclusion, showcasing a 3.5% increase from the previous year. This initiative not only promotes entrepreneurship but also empowers individuals to create sustainable livelihoods and contribute to economic growth.
In conclusion, the Incorpora programme’s holistic approach to enhancing employability, networking entities and technicians, providing training opportunities, and supporting self-employment initiatives has proven to be instrumental in promoting social inclusion, reducing inequalities, and fostering sustainable economic growth. Through collaborative efforts between social entities, technicians, companies, and individuals, the programme continues to make a significant impact on the lives of marginalized groups, creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce for a brighter future.
