In a recent event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a jab at the opposition, referring to them as the ‚Khata Khat people‘ who have mysteriously disappeared following the conclusion of elections. Speaking at an appointment letter distribution event for 1,036 candidates selected through a fair and transparent recruitment process by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission, the CM highlighted the importance of merit-based appointments in the state.
During his speech, Yogi Adityanath mentioned the ‚Khata Khat‘ scheme that was prevalent during the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year. Under this scheme, individuals were promised a monthly payment in exchange for signing bonds worth Rs 1 lakh each. However, the CM pointed out that these individuals have now vanished, only to reappear during the next election cycle to sow seeds of division and chaos in society.
The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing government jobs in Uttar Pradesh without any recommendations or favoritism. He stated that over the past seven and a half years, the government has been issuing appointment letters to deserving candidates in accordance with reservation rules. Yogi Adityanath also highlighted the stark differences in recruitment statistics between the previous and current administrations.
Under the previous government, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Selection Commission completed appointments to 26,394 posts, with only 26.38% of positions filled by OBC candidates. In contrast, the current administration has conducted 46,675 recruitments, with 38.41% of positions filled by OBC candidates. The Chief Minister noted that over 60% of appointees under the double-engine government belong to OBC, SC, and ST categories.
Yogi Adityanath further stated that under the current government, over 42,409 youth have been selected through the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, compared to 19,312 candidates selected during the previous government’s tenure. He emphasized that the recruitment process is now being conducted transparently and fairly, in adherence to the Constitution’s reservation system.
Issuing a stern warning, the Chief Minister stated that anyone who jeopardizes the future of the state’s youth will face severe punishment under the double-engine government. He emphasized the importance of setting an example for the nation and the world, and warned against spreading rumors and misleading the youth.
Highlighting the significant changes since 2017, Yogi Adityanath pointed out that Uttar Pradesh’s economy now ranks second nationally, showcasing remarkable progress compared to other states. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolutions for the state’s economic growth and effective implementation of schemes for farmers, women, and the poor.
In conclusion, CM Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 1,036 deserving candidates, including Assistant Research Officers, Junior Assistants, Mandi Inspectors, and Cartographers. These appointments were made through a fair and transparent recruitment process, reflecting the government’s commitment to merit-based appointments and youth empowerment in Uttar Pradesh.
