Luxury car theft rampage in Baltimore leads to fatal outcome, perpetrators remain unidentified

In a recent auto theft incident in Baltimore City, a group of thieves targeted A&B Auto Body and Repair Shop on Dundalk Avenue. The owner, Raj Muzammil, was shocked when he received a call from one of his employees reporting the break-in. Five high-end vehicles, including two BMWs and a Jaguar, were stolen from the shop in the early hours of Sunday morning. The theft was part of a larger auto theft spree in the area, with at least three incidents involving the theft of multiple vehicles within a 24-hour period.

Muzammil expressed his frustration at the situation, noting that some of the stolen cars were at the shop for minor repairs or a paint job. He emphasized the impact on his customers, who had entrusted their vehicles to the shop for service. The thefts not only resulted in financial losses for the business but also damaged its reputation and customer relationships.

Surveillance footage captured the thieves breaking into the shop by slipping under a bay door and raising it just enough to drive the vehicles out of the garage. Among the stolen vehicles was an Infinity QX-60, which belonged to Osama Feroze’s wife, one of the shop’s co-owners. Feroze received a call from a sheriff’s deputy informing him that the stolen car had been involved in a fatal collision in Carroll County.

The collision in Carroll County occurred when the stolen Infiniti QX-60 collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the 55-year-old biker, Terry Lee Crowl. Feroze described the situation as devastating, with the theft of the vehicles followed by the tragic news of their involvement in a fatal accident. The incident highlighted the interconnected nature of crime and its far-reaching consequences.

The shop owners cooperated with the police investigation by providing surveillance video footage of the break-in. However, as of now, the police have not released any information about the suspects involved in the auto theft spree. Baltimore Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and active, as they work to identify and apprehend those responsible for the thefts and the subsequent fatal crash.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by businesses and communities in Baltimore, where crime rates have been a persistent issue in recent years. Feroze reflected on the unpredictability and danger of living in the city, emphasizing the need for vigilance and cooperation among residents and law enforcement agencies. As the investigation continues, the shop owners hope for justice to be served and for the stolen vehicles to be recovered.
