Tex-Mex lovers in the Hudson Oaks area have something to celebrate as Chuy’s Tex-Mex, a popular Austin chain, is set to open a new restaurant in the area on August 27. Located at 2701 E. I-20, just east of Weatherford, this new location promises to bring the same fun and friendly atmosphere that Chuy’s is known for. The restaurant will be serving up a variety of Tex-Mex dishes, featuring family recipes from south Texas, New Mexico, and Mexican border towns.

One of the standout dishes at Chuy’s is the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchiladas, a fan favorite that combines tender chicken with spicy green chile sauce. Another must-try is The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, a hearty platter that includes a beef Tex-Mex enchilada, a cheese Ranchero enchilada, a chicken Tomatillo enchilada, a ground sirloin crispy taco, and tostada chips dipped in chile con queso. And let’s not forget about the Creamy Jalapeño Cilantro Dip, a creamy and spicy dip that pairs perfectly with Chuy’s house-made tortilla chips.

In addition to their delicious food, Chuy’s is also known for their refreshing margaritas made with fresh-squeezed lime juice and served with special jalapeño stuffed olives. And for those looking to unwind after a long day, Chuy’s offers Happy Hour specials on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., including $5 Queso and discounts on their famous Ritas.

The new Hudson Oaks location will feature the quirky and eclectic décor that Chuy’s is famous for, including an Elvis shrine and a dog wall where guests can bring in a framed photo of their pet for a free appetizer. This will be the 12th Chuy’s location in the DFW area, but the first in Parker County, joining other nearby locations in north Fort Worth, downtown Fort Worth, and Southlake.

However, the opening of the Hudson Oaks location comes at a time of transition for Chuy’s, as the chain was recently acquired by Darden Restaurants, the hospitality company that owns other popular chains like Olive Garden and The Capital Grille. Additionally, Chuy’s is being forced to relocate its longtime Dallas location in the Knox Street district after 31 years due to new development in the area.

Despite these changes, Chuy’s fans can rest assured that the same delicious Tex-Mex dishes and fun atmosphere they love will still be available at the new Hudson Oaks location. So mark your calendars for August 27 and get ready to enjoy some tasty Tex-Mex at Chuy’s!
